HR Florida Student Games

We Couldn't Have Done it Without You!

Thank you to all the HR Professionals who gave their time volunteer for one of the three SHRM Competition and Career Summits. The students provided feedback that they valued meeting HR Professionals at the Summits.  For those of you who were not able to attend the Summit, thank you for promoting the Summit to students and encouraging HR professionals to volunteer.

Event Information for the 2016 Student Games

The winning teams (one graduate and one undergraduate) will each receive $2,500 towards the SHRM Regional Games AND complimentary registrations to the next HR Florida Conference & Expo.

Competition Overview

The HR Florida Student Games is a case study competition that consists of a one-day event where teams of up to six undergraduate or graduate students from various colleges and universities compete in both oral and written presentations. The case is created specifically for the HR Florida Student Games and can focus on any number of HR issues. The teams have four hours to read, evaluate, and draft both the oral and written presentations. After the four-hour preparation period, the teams provide their written presentation to one set of judges for review and present their oral presentation to another set of judges.

Each team will consist of no more than six students or recent graduates of an undergraduate or graduate program. All team members must be SHRM members, and members of a SHRM student chapter. Professional SHRM members cannot compete.

Contact the GOSHRM Director of College Relations at for details.
